• 1. how do I start WOOing?

  Hop on your favourite browser and check out www.woome.com. No need to sign up to check out the site – you only need to create an account if you'd like to play a session. Check out the upcoming sessions, browse the people and then decide if you want to WOO or be WOO'd... if you do it takes about 25 seconds to sign up.

• 2. do I need a webcam to start WOOing?

  No. When we created WooMe we realized that everyone doesn't have a webcam – so we also created ‘voice only' sessions as well. That means that your computer needs to have speakers and a mic – that's all you need to get started.

  A good way to figure out whether your computer can WOO is to check whether you already use Skype on your machine - if the answer is yes, then you can definitely WOO.

• 3. how do I get my webcam working on a pc?

  • Make sure that you get a PC / Windows compatible webcam
  • Follow the installation instructions that come with the webcam
  • Test your webcam settings (most webcams come with test software)
  • Go to http://www.woome.com/flashtest/ - it's a fun way to check your webcam is working

• 4. how do I get my webcam working on a mac?

  • Cruise to http://www.woome.com/flashtest/ in your favourite browser
  • Follow the instructions (it's a pretty fun way to test your webcam)

  If there are any problems check the following:

  • Click on the webcam icon
  • Select USB Video Class Video from the Camera pull-down menu.
  • Select Built-in Microphone from the Microphone pull-down menu.

• 5. I can't get my webcam or any audio to work. what should I do?

  Most problems with your webcam and audio settings can be fixed by going through the following checklist:

  • Check that your webcam is plugged in correctly
  • Check that you have the correct drivers installed for your webcam. Try re-installing the webcam following the instructions that came in the pack. If that doesn't work check the webcam manufacturer's site and see whether you can download the latest drivers.
  • Your computer may not have selected the right webcam from the dropdown list (some computers, especially macs and safari browsers, tend to do this). Click on the webcam icon on your profile page and check the settings.
  • If you're getting some video and audio signal but its not very good check your Internet connection. We recommend that you have a reliable broadband connection for WooMe. If you're able to use Skype ok then you should be able to get very high quality audio and video from WooMe.
